Seeded crackers
PREP TIME: 2hour, 20minutes
MAKES: 1 tray
INGREDIENTS
70 g (1/2 cup) pumpkin seeds
70 g (1/2 cup) sunflower seeds
30 g (1/4 cup) sesame seeds
15 g (1/8 cup) hemp seeds
15 g (1/8 cup) flaxseeds/linseeds
15 g (1/8 cup) chia
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
1 tbsp dried oregano
chopped rosemary
salt and pepper
METHOD
Preheat oven to 150 C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Pour in 180 ml (3/4 cup) water. Stir until there aren’t any dry spots. Leave to sit for 15 minutes until the seeds have absorbed the water and the mixture is thick and sticky.
Transfer mixture to the prepared baking tray and spread out all the way to the edges to around 2-3mm thick. Be careful to keep the thickness even and avoid any gaps or holes.
Bake for 1 hour or until they have a nice toasted colour and are hard and dry to the touch. If still soft in the middle, allow to bake for a little longer.
Allow crackers to cool completely on the baking tray then carefully break into whatever size pieces you prefer.
Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
